I was running an errand with my son as the sun was setting. We parked near this railroad track and there were people starting to line up to wait for the train. There was my photo for the day, except the train didn’t come. Ever try waiting for a train with a 9-year-old boy? A train that you aren’t going to get on and go someplace fun, just a train that you are going to take a picture of and then go back to what he thought you were going to do when you left the house. If you haven’t tried I wouldn’t recommend it.
I took the image of the bare track and we headed off to get Rita’s. (Seriously, if you have never had Rita’s ices you are missing something.) Of course, when we came out the train was at the station. I grabbed my camera from the car and took a few photos of the train as it pulled away. Not what I had imagined but still pretty cool. Thank you Photoshop for the added ambience. I really love the play of the lights on the opposite rails.
